Rabbit Feed:

- Clean water available to them at all times.
- Rabbits need important nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids or fats, minerals and vitamins in the right amount to perform & grow best.
- Wild ones, eat a variety of grains, greens, roots, & roughage.
- Domestic rabbits eat pellet feed made for nutritional needs.
- Pellets consist of mainly alfalfa meal and wheat middling, plus nutrient supplements.
- Rabbits as stated above should also get roughage such as hay, for good teeth and digestion.
- There are Poisonous Plants that can kill a rabbit. Research your native plants and what is safe in your area for your rabbits, if you plan on foraging.
- You can get a mineral spool at a local feed store to help supplement.
- Rabbits are sensitive to feed changes. When getting a new rabbit ask the breeder for transition food to mix in with what you are going to be feeding your new rabbit.
- Be careful when giving treats. Usually all you need is a good brand of rabbit Pellet feed, Hay and Water. To keep your rabbits healthy. Anything else can sometimes hurt the rabbit. But if you have to feed treats try to limit it to two times a week. And watch there stool to make sure there stomach is not getting upset.
